Chitwan is one of the tourist hubs in Nepal. Chitwan is famous for being home to various endangered animals and birds, as there is located the country's first and largest National Park called Chitwan National Park established in 1973. This park is popularly known for being one of the most beautiful reservations in the world. The park covers some 932 sq. km, lies in the Tarai lowland or plain-land. This is widely known for one of the richest varieties of wild life adventure. It is located mere 160 km away from Kathmandu and 150 km away from Pokhara. The Park is best known for Jungle Safari with elephant back or jeep ride, bird watching tour and for Tharu cultural dances. Besides, it is also home to a number of endangered birds and animals such as royal Bengal tiger, the great one horned Rhinoceros, four different kinds of deer, sloth bear, leopards, crocodile, monkey, numerous of butterflies and many more. All these features are explicit that Chitwan is one of the important and place to visit in lifetime.
