Rara lake trekking is one of the most loved trekking trails in Nepal. Rara Lake is one of the largest lake located in Mugu district in the far western region, near Gam Ghadi (district-headquarter of Mugu) and Talcha airstrip. Rara Lake is one of the superb spots in Nepal, situated in the Rara National Park. The Rara Lake is stretched around 8 sq km and 5 km long. It is situated at the highest point of the country at the altitude of 3,060 m. Rara Lake trekking continues through remote wilderness of western Nepal, where you will be amazed with the wonderful nature beauty, explore the beautiful high altitude lake—Rara, that is surrounded by alpine meadows and forests of pine, juniper and spruce, whilst in the background you can view the magnificent snow-capped peaks, so and so.

Rara lake trekking begins with flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj then to Jumla .The trek starts from here and trail passes through green countryside which provides unusual glimpses of a culture and scenery quite different from that found elsewhere in Nepal and which eventually culminates to the Rara Lake National Park. The entire route is considered to be off the beaten track that involves the crossing of Ghurchi Lagna pass at 3,450 m. on the way to Rara Lake and a few ridges at around 3,000 m, making excursion around, you will then finally return back to Jumla and fly back to Nepalgunj, subsequently to Kathmandu.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Nature Adventure Trekking & Expedition will Greet you at the airport & transfer to Hotel.

Day 02:Half day Sightseeing in Katmandu city with cultural tour guidel Hotel

Day 03:Afternoon, we take the flight to Nepalgunj in the mid-far west of Nepal. Which Takes 1 hrs. Flight & overnight in Nepalganj.Hotel

Day 04:Morning flight to Jumla (2370m.) 35 minutes same day trek begins stay in Chere.Camp

Day 05:Trek to Danphe Langa(3130m.)

Day 06:Trek to Chautha(2770m.)

Day 07:Trek to Dhotu(2370m.)

Day 08:Trek to Rara Lake (3080m.)

Day 09:Excursion around Rara Lake

Day 10:Trek to Gorosingha(3190m.)

Day 11:Trek to Sinja(2440m.)

Day 12:Trek to Jaljala(3270m.)

Day 13:Trek to Jumla

Day 14:Fly back to Nepalganj afernoon fly to Kathmandu

Day 15:Extra day in Kathmandu (Evening fare well dinner in Kathmandu Nepali cultural {Resturant)

Day 16:Trip end.Final departure transfer to airport.
