Tibet

Tibet is a delightful and mysterious Buddhist Kingdom in the world. It is popularly known as the roof of the world as it is located on the high land. It was remain one of the isolated countries for long years, but has been the attractions of millions of visitors from around the world. It is one of the autonomous regions of China, bordered with India, Nepal Bhutan, Burma, and Kashmir. One of the attractions of Tibet is that there are various mysterious Buddhist arts and architecture, culture, and the traditions that have been preserved from 14th century or so. Therefore, the travelers find the mystery in every nook and corner of this country.

Lasha is the capital city of Tibet which is surrounded with snow-capped mountains all around and you will see the Buddhist monasteries and ancient buildings carved with beautiful arts, full of historical monuments decorated beautifully, the hills are like a terraced with beautifully carved by stone slabs, when to travel around, you will go throug treeless barren, high hills, mountain and many more, all these are stunning and all these turns to be magic and makes you spell bound and enchants you in such a way that you would love to go to Tibet again and again.

Travel information in Tibet:

Every traveler needs to obtain special permission if he or she wishes to travel in any part of China including Tibet. The permission is not always granted. During certain period of time, the foreigners are not allowed to enter in deeming as restricted, therefore why Tibet has been a sensitive area for traveling. In Tibet, usually, the Lasha and part of Shan and Nan are open to the foreigners and sometimes these places are forbidden from making an excursion around. If you do enter a restricted area without requisite permission, you would be fined, taken into custody, and even deported for illegal entry. Therefore, you have to be well-aware of every customs, rules, and regulation. In order to enter China, you need a visa as well as at least six-month validity remaining on your passport. If you do not have a valid passport and the appropriate Chinese visa, you will not be allowed to enter China and will be fined and subject to immediate deportation. Tibet Travel Permits There are two kinds of permits issued for traveling in Tibet—the entry permit also called TTB permit and the Alien travel permit known as PSB permit. TTB permit: Tibet Entry Permit Tibet Tour Permit is issued by Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB), therefore, this sort of permission is also called TTB permit. You need to show this sort of permit when checking in at the airport or prior to buy a flight to Lhasa. This permit is required for group traveling by vehicles. PSB permit—Alien Travel Permit The alien travel permit is also called PSB permit. This sort of permission is issued by the Public Security Bureau (PSB) of Tibet. This permit is required in order to travel in the restricted areas in Tibet. How to get the travel permits? We do have local agents in Tibet. Therefore, we request to provide us the information given in the following prior to your visit: 1) Your full name; 2) Your gender; 3) Your date of birth; 4) Your passport number; 5) Your nationality All information must be exactly the same as in your passport. Keep in your mind that you need to apply for the travel permit at least 10 days prior to your entry date in Tibet. The PSB permit is not issued to individual. Therefore, you need to go through the travel agency. Important notes on obtaining visa Chinese government does not issue the visa for individual traveler, if you wish to visit in Tibet. In order to obtain the groups visa, you mainly need two different documents if you wish to travel in to Tibet, one the Chinese visa, which you can apply in Chinese embassy in Kathmandu or your respective country and another is the alien’s travel permit that is issued by Tibet tourism bureau. Non-Chinese passport holders, including Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau among others must obtain an alien’s travel permit with valid passport.
