Mt. Kailash trekking is one of the most popular trekking trips in Tibet. Mt. Kailash (6,714 m) is one of the highest mountains in Tibet which is shaped like a diamond and adored like a lotus. Mt. Kailash has its own geographical significance, for instance, it is the water source of four major rivers—Karnali, Indus, Sutlej and Brahmaputra. Similarly, Mt. Kailash is also regarded as the holy mountain, where the various religious groups mainly Buddhists, Hindus, Jain and Bon visit in order to this peak for worshipping.

These religious groups believe that the peak is the abode of the god and the Kailash Mansarover Lake to be the sacred lake and if they take bath in this sacred lake, the water cleanse one’s sins, with this belief, thousands of pilgrimage make it to this place every year. Thus, Mt. Kailash trekking is regarded to be pilgrimage trekking package trip as well. The attractions of this trekking is that, you will not make an excursion around Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar lake but also various other mystical places such as Zhangmu, Saga, Parayang, Hor, Darchen to name a few. The trip begins with direct flight from Kathmandu to Lhas or drive along side Nepal-China friendship road to Khasa and then continue to slated areas trekking and and after making an excursion around you will then finally return back to Kathmandu either in flight or by road.
