Tiji is the story of a deity named Dorje Jono who had battled against the demon father to save the Kingdom of Mustang from destruction. The demon father wreaked havoc on Mustang by creating a water shortage. Dorje Jono eventually defeated the demon father and banished him from the land. This festival is observed worshipping god for demanding the water and good crops. During the festival monks dress with their traditional customs and masks and perform dances and rituals that supposed to drive away evil spirits. Mustang is one of the mysterious trekking destinations in the country. It is one of the most popular and superb trekking destination primarily for exploring the weird nature wonders. The trail goes through Lo Manthang that lies in the very heart of Mustang—the best preserved destination and pass through treeless barren landscape and barren moonscape of eroded sandstone pillars and discontinuous moraine terraces, which together present a colorful mosaic.

Mustang is a remote district lies to the north of the Annapurna Region on the Tibetan border, where you will have an opportunity to explore numerous of Buddhist monasteries and nunneries built with forbidding cliffs and mountain ledges. One of the attractions in Mustang district is Kagbeni. It is a quaint medieval town nestled in apple orchards and encircled by snow-mountains and the Lo Manthang, an ancient capital city, built of whitewashed mud bricks and teeming with Buddhist prayer wheels and Stupas, seeming to arise from the earth itself. There are very few guesthouses and restaurants in the region and therefore, you need to be well equipped and only the camping trekking is possible to organize.
