Panch Pokhari trekking is another newly explored trekking trails in the country. This trekking is one of the most popular trekking trails primarily for having exotic views of the mountains such as Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m.) Madiya (6,257m) and Phurbi Chhyachu (6,637 m) to name a few, explore the blend of culture, wonderful natural landscapes, and no doubt the ultimate goal of exploring the holy lake Panch Pokhari.
Panch Pokhari trekking begins with a short drive by jeep or public bus from Kathmandu to Chautara, the headquarter of Sindhupalchowk along the Kodari road, then the trail continues to Bhalephi Khola, and then follow a ridge to Bhairav Kunda, a holy lake located at 3500 meters. You can also return back from there to Tatopani through Kodari road or make a circuit around the head of the Balephi Khola valley and continue up to Panch Pokhari ('five lakes') located at the 3600 m. height. After visiting to Panch Pokhari the trail leads to Tarke Gyang in Helambu or back down to the ridge of Panchkhal, the Kodari Road.
